Whether it’s a painting, a photo, a piece of music or a film, I love the act of creation.  It makes me feel, helps me heal, feeds my head and my heart.  It is a strange and mysterious alchemy.  It can create beauty, meaning, and a mirror for us to see ourselves.  And good art can also make a difference.

I have degrees in Film, Creative Writing, and Visual Art.  I have written and directed one award-winning feature film, Protection, and a number of short films and installations.  My photography has been exhibited in a number of galleries in Vancouver and Seattle and my music has also been featured in a variety of film and streaming projects.  I have also taught Filmmaking at The University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University and the Vancouver Film School.

And, I’m very lucky to live in north Burnaby - the hən̓̓qəmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples territory - close to the rainforest and the ocean, with my partner Patricia, and our eight year old son, Theo.

I love making art.
